Unleashed Women

An initiative aimed at unleashing the potential of women because when women are empowered its translates into their communities. This initiative is made up of inspirational conferences, motivational workshops and an opportunity to cross pollinate ideas and build relationally. It is to unleash women into their purpose and destiny, for some an opportunity to reflect and recalibrate but in essence – to restore the full measure of what every women has been designed to be. As Koffi Annan once said, “Empower a Woman, Empower a Community.”
Refueling Leaders
“You can’t pour from an empty cup, take care of yourself first.”
Caring for leaders is a platform and safe space we have created for leaders. It is a forum where we handpick leaders who are doing an exceptional job in their spheres of influence to acknowledge them. It is a place where we ask nothing of them but for them to receive encouragement, inspiration and refreshing. A place where they can share their fears and dreams with those in similar positions/roles, and for a moment to foster new meaningful relationships. The essence of this is to care for leaders, who often pour so much f themselves for the betterment of others. It is a moment to honor our leaders in different spheres of society.
Ignite Marriage Retreat

Families are the fabric of society, therefore the Ignite Marriage retreat was birthed out of a need to strengthen, rekindle and ignite the flame of love within marriages. It is specifically geared towards those in their early years of marriage but is open for any married couple as the principles are the same irrespective of the number of years a couple has been married. It is a platform, outside the church walls envisaged to facilitate conversational, couple to couple support by reflecting on biblical principles shared by speakers, through video clips and panel discussions. It is to provide a safe space for couples to engage honestly on their areas of growth and to reflect and plan on how to leverage their strengths. The slogan for Ignite 2017 was “building the future we desire together” as an emphasis and in 2018, the seasons of marriage. Many couples have been benefiting from this initiative which is well needed in our fast paced world.
CareerLink
An initiative that connects youth with opportunity. More than a talk-shop, this initiative inspires action and is results oriented. Inspired by the need to make a meaningful contribution to the dire unemployment status in Africa, this initiative is about helping youth aged between 18-35 years to be empowered holistically. In particular, the focus is on bridging the gap between the youth and their vocational/economic opportunities leveraging various partnerships and “friends of ULDF”. Over the last 3 years, we have seen youth access new job opportunities, skills training, workplace readiness techniques, scholarships and new networks and mentors.
